Minutes of the October 2009 Orange Committee Board Meeting

The October 27, 2009, Orange Committee meeting, at the William Woolett
Aquatics Center, was called to order by the vice-chairman at 8:00 PM.  In attendance
were Bill Voigt, MVN, Coach Rep; Jeri Marshburn, NOVA, Senior Rep; Justin Schmidt,

NOVA; Andi Kawamoto-Klatt, NOVA; Steve Pickell, SCAL; Bill Jewell, FAST; Brent

Siemsen, FAST; David Prodanovich, FAST; Rod Snyder, DA; Lynda Julson, UN,

Review; Richard Davis, UN, Officials; Ken Russell, AAA, Vice-Chair; Kim Hoesterey,

NOVA, Program; Patti Haney, SEAL; Judi Divan, MVN, Secretary/Treasurer.

Secretary/Treasurer: (Judi Divan) Motion to accept September minutes as posted.
Starting balance of $16337.22.  SCS paid $2300 in reimbursement to clubs for coach

attendance at Fall Clinic.  Ending balance of $14037.22. MSP.

Coach Representative: (Bill Voigt)  No report.

Senior Representative: (Jeri Marshburn)  No report.

Age Group Representative: (Rod Hansen)  Not present.

Officials Representative: (Richard Davis)  No report.

 

Review: (Lynda Julson)  There has not been a Review Meeting.

Meet Ops/Registration: (Marilyn Bolton)  Not present.

Athlete Representative: (Open)  Not present.

Program: (Kim Hoesterey)   The 2010 meet schedule was revised.  SCY meets in April

and May will be 2 host RW (STOP & SET-April,  DA & AAA-May), and the SCY meet in

June will be a single host RW (SET).  The revised meet schedule will be published on the

SCS website.   The next AdHoc meeting will be November 24.  Teams that should attend

are those planning February JO Max meets, MVN for it’s March 20-21 meet, and ORCA

for its March 26-28 meet.  Kim will price ribbons for age group meets for improvement in

order to see what the quantity discount would be.   Teams need to provide a coach count

to host teams as  a courtesy so that host teams can plan number of coach programs to

provide and help plan hospitality.

New business -

The following teams need to provide Swim Guide information to the SCS office by

November 2:  AAA, BGST, CDM, DA, RAYS, AZOT, NOVA, LBST, NGG, OCW, SPLA,

STOP, TD.

Motion to reimburse team hosts up to $300 for purchase or upgrade to Hy-tek 3.0 MM.

MSP.

 

Motion to approve slate of Orange Committee officers for 2010.  MSP.
